Founded by Dennis Tippmann Sr. as a maker of half-scale replica machine guns, Tippmann pivoted to paintball in the late 1980s and became one of the most recognizable names in the sport.

Known for rugged, over-engineered blowback markers, the company defined the entry-level and rental categories for decades. The 98 Custom and A-5 platforms remain among the most-fielded markers ever produced.
